Environmental Community’s Organizer ‘ECO’ Award

Each year, the ECO-Award honours individuals and/or groups who have positively contributed to the field of environmental studies in Canada through community-building, research, knowledge-to-action, and/or innovations in approaches. The ECO-Award Selection Committee considers nominees from academic, practitioner, community-based, and other backgrounds.

At ESAC, ‘environmental studies’ is defined as a multidisciplinary field that investigates, educates, guides, supports, and acts upon human-environment relationships.

Nominations for individuals and groups working in interdisciplinary and multi-sectoral teams to advance the field of environmental studies through the development, enhancement, or expansion of innovative collaborations and networks are particularly encouraged.
